I am so sorry for your loss.

I knew Paul in college at Madison. We were in the same fraternity. We weren't close friends, but casual friends. I always appreciated Paul's wit and his care-free attitude. He was a thinker. He was kind. He was funny.

I had a dream about the fraternity last night. I couldn't sleep after that. I have lost track of all those guys. I hadn't thought of them in years. So, I jumped on line at 2:30 in the morning and found the Phi Delta Theta website. I looked up all the guys from our house. I read that Paul was deceased. I couldn't get him out of my mind all day.

I just now found this website after my students left the room. I, like Paul, am a teacher. I teach 4th grade in Aspen, Colorado. I had no idea that Paul was a teacher. From what I have read on a couple of other sites, Paul was not just a teacher, he was THE teacher many of his students will remember for the rest of their lives.

Godspeed, Paul.
